The Regional Manager is responsible for assigned territory growth for new business and from existing product users. Your ideas are welcomed as a contributor to the company’s marketing department.

Responsibilities

East Coast Tube Corporation (ECTC) is an accomplished galvanized steel tube distributor now seeking to fill several positions for Regional Sales Manager responsibilities to support business growth within the NE States.

The successful candidate for this position is honest, experienced, and a motivated sales professional who has a minimum 5 years progressive sales and account growth responsibilities; preferably within galvanized tube products and related value-add service sectors.

Duties

  • Responsible to professionally represent the organizations values, products and services as it relates to maintaining & establishing, developing, and strengthening business relationships among current and prospective customers.
  • Support customer service teams for retention, satisfaction & growth.
  • Effectively demonstrate and execute an effective territory and lead management strategy through proactive communications via in-person visits/presentations to customers.
  • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service departments.
  • Prepare written correspondence and weekly/monthly activity reports utilizing CRM and KPI tools.
  • Prepare monthly & quarterly sales bookings forecasts.
  • Responsible with customer service team for communicating price quotes.
  • Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, clients, and suppliers.
  • Actively promote new business sales and identify new sales opportunities within the assigned region to both existing and potential customers through both product value & relationship-based approach.
  • Communicate market and customer information to various departments within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or extensive steel tube related experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in tubular steel sales.
  • Effective outside sales and territory management planning required.
  • Functional computer skills needed with emphasis on MS Office and CRM productivity tools.
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication needed.
  • Efficient time management and organization skills a must.
  • Ability to understand customer needs, value propositions and effectively present product solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous tubular steel sales experience.
  • Understanding of galvanized products and coatings.
  • Highly organized, goal orientated, strong presentation skills.
  • Understanding customers need and recognizing opportunities for “value added” services.

Additional Notes

  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment when necessary during customer visits
  • Position occasionally requires variances around normal work hours sometimes between 7am and 6pm
  • Must be willing to travel
