Customer Service Representative / Account Manager

Job Description

East Coast Tube, an accomplished galvanized steel tube distributor, is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative or Account Manager to support its customers & business operations within the NE States.

The successful candidate should be an honest, experienced, motivated, and positive individual with a strong focus on providing friendly and proactive communication to our customer base. This position is responsible for helping to maintain high customer satisfaction & retention levels.

The leadership team is experienced and principled and supports an internal structure and process to ensure a positive result. Your talents will provide added strength both to our customers and to our valued stakeholder relationships, Through effective communications, you’ll monitor and manage the organizations stocking programs and prepare customer sales orders. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

Ensure customers feel appreciated for their patronage, review and confirm product specifications and intended usage, prepare sales orders and communicate with Customer Service Manager/Sales department and Operations teams to provide accurate and timely service to the customer.
Defines & communicates service expectations, rapport and develop mutually beneficial relationships with customers.
Communicate specific knowledge of the company’s products, services, and capabilities.
Maintain customer records by updating account information within our CRM/ERP systems.
Help facilitate educate customers relating to branding, products, features & benefits.
Review estimates, process efficiencies and ensure pricing accuracy.
Help customers plan their timeline by monitoring mill rolling schedules, stock levels and logistics department planning.
Ability to multi-task, communicate priorities, and effectively plan for multi-account managements for smooth product releases and optimize customer value.

Qualifications

3 years professional customer facing experience in a business-to-business industrial setting preferably in multi-state steel tube distribution, a tubular mill or steel service center environments.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of products, business system applications.
Excellent computer, oral and written communication skills.
Understanding of steel specifications, coatings, and value-added services.
Understanding and use of CRM applications.
Ability to work well both independently and with others in a team setting.

Additional Notes

Ability to reliably commute with remote working possible (Preferred)
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Steel tube related experience: 3 years (Preferred)
